The week-long celebration that we have come to know and love as the Gladstone Harbour Festival has a humble past but a very exciting future! Over forty-four years ago the Gladstone Harbour Festival was born - a one-day celebration to greet the winners of the Brisbane to Gladstone Yacht Race as they crossed the finishing line.

The Festival rapidly expanded to eight days and nights, jam

-packed with entertainment that we now know as the Gladstone Harbour Festival. The Festival has enjoyed a huge growth, with over 70 000 spectators visiting the annual event. Much of this success can be contributed to the range and quality free entertainment provided at the Festival throughout the entire week.

Seafood Festival

Could you imagine a more perfect scenario - a magnificent spring day spent overlooking the beautiful Gladstone Marina, listening to live music while savoring the taste of superbly fresh seafood!

That's right it's the 8th Annual Gladstone Area Water Boards Seafood Festival, and it's on Father's Day, Sunday 2nd September 2008 from 10am till 4pm.

Come along and enjoy a variety of fresh seafood prepared by our local eaters and freshly cooked seafood from local suppliers, wines from the region and continuous on and off-stage entertainment.

There will be a band along with novelty events, cooking demonstrations, licensed bar facilities,sizzling summer fashion parade, red claw auction and racing and the famous One Arm Raw Prawn Peeling Championships.
