The 11th annual Gladstone Area Water Board’s Seafood Festival will be held on Sunday the 6th September 2009  from 10am until 4pm.  What a perfect way to spend Father’s Day!

The Gladstone Marina provides the perfect surrounding for this great event, beautiful views and a relaxed atmosphere to accompany the great food. 

Live entertainment, along with a sizzling summer fashion parade, cooking demonstrations and displays are just some of the highlights of the day.

Perhaps the most anticipated event at the Seafood Festival is the ‘One Armed Raw Prawn Peeling Championship’.  This event provides plenty of laughs as competitors try every way possible to get their prawns peeled whilst having one hand behind their back.

Probably the best thing is that this event is provided free to the public - everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy the entertainment.  Local restaurants will be selling quality seafood to satisfy even the biggest seafood craving.
